Stonehouse Farm fell into receivership in 2023. Later that year, Hunters purchased the site with the intention of creating an award-winning renatured mixed-use development incorporating a select number of homes, appropriate commercial and employment space, including a green energy park, as well as a recreational track through the renatured landscape extending to in excess 100 acres.

Hunters are delighted to have been awarded Motion Green Project of the Year 2025 for our proposed rural mixed-use redevelopment at Stonehouse Farm & Lakes, Plummers Plain, West Sussex. The award underlines our continued commitment to promoting appropriate, sustainable rural redevelopment benefiting both our communities and our environment.
Motion’s technical team, as part of the wider team, designed and proposed a sustainable drainage strategy that reduces flood risk, protects water quality, and integrates seamlessly with the renatured landscape.
