A Landmark Event – 120 students from across Sussex, bringing together careers education, environmental awareness, and hands-on rural experiences in a truly unique setting. Inspiring young people to think boldly about their futures while introducing them to the professionals, ideas, and industries re-developing and renaturing our communities.
Set within the inspiring transformation of Stonehouse Farm & Lakes, this event places students at the heart of a live rural regeneration project—where community, business, and biodiversity come together to create lasting local impact.
Once a dilapidated farm, the site is now being reimagined into a thriving, future-focused destination – providing a powerful real-world backdrop for learning, discussion, and inspiration.

Students will hear directly from developer Lee Goossens and a team of industry professionals including architects, engineers, planners, ecologists, and local business leaders. Hosted by Jack Hayes, Head of Programming at the Love Local Jobs Foundation, the day will explore future careers, sustainability, and the evolving responsibilities across the built environment and business sectors.
This is more than an event – it’s an opportunity. A chance for students to gain insight, build ambition, and connect with those shaping the future, while giving local businesses and community leaders a meaningful way to support and inspire the next generation.
